Ok the big problem with not having a thermostat is that the engine will take longer to warm up to operating temperature leading to additional wear due to the components in the engine not being at their optimum operating temperature. Typically the greatest amount of wear occurs during start up. Also ...

There is very little info out there on these rare engines and the normal place to go for info would be www.sigma-galant.com but at the moment the site is down. There is also a little info on this website. http://www.hoonboy.com/mitsutech.html If you can get a hold of hoonboy he'd be able to give you...

I'm guessing that he's not after the rubber mounts but the steel brackets that bolt to the block. I've seen some unknowledgeable people manufacturing adapter brackets to do exactly the same thing as what the starion mounts do. Anyone know if the l300 4g63 or the 4g64 NA mounts are the same as the st...

It's been done before. Straight bolt in with the starion engine mounts. Gearbox you can either use the starion box and put in the hydraulic clutch or use a sigma 2.6 wideblock box to retain the cable clutch. And scorp diff should hold the power. The sigma guys use the gh scorp ones as an upgrade whi...

Yeah putting a xf throttle body is really easy to do on the L300 manifold. All you have to do is drill out the holes on the xf throttle body a bit more to fit it onto the mounting, and then you have to get the little indent on the top of the manifold filled in with a alloy welder and then just rebor...

The media will show heaps of stories about when hoons have an accident and often it's only a serious accident with no deaths. All the accidents that i know of people i know where there has been a fatality has been a cause of speed and alcohol. You see many more speed cameras then you see RBT's. If t...

Hey Benny If your looking for a sonata manifold and dizzy the best place locally would be the Allbrand wrecking in brendale. I picked up a sonata manifold (unmodified) and optical dizzy there for $150 total. Larger throttle body about 50 bucks for a XF falcon one but you may want something a touch s...

Also when you look at the figures the sigma's are rated higher than the starions even though the front ends are very similiar and the boddies aren't really that much different in comparison, relatively speaking anyway. Yet the starion has better handling and brakes both forms of active safety featur...
