wasn't there an article on the web of a nice staz engaged in a dyno shootout ? Beyondthelimit or coltspeed ?? I think an Izusu won. Staz made over 300whp, and limited by the boost allowed for the competition. I thought I save that link, but can't find it. When pushing the envelope to see what your s...

1ST gen dsm = vr4 to u guys I understand, from bishiboys and this site, the internals are interchangeable and the head is a bolt on. I have all the parts, but not yet verified it. I see no reason that a staz can't withstand 350Whp on stock pistons/rods. I seriously doubt the casting method or materi...

igottasicjb man u had a catastophic engine failure it seems. wow what I'm saying is ballbearing turbos simply not worth the risk. They're too finiky with their oiling requirements, add to that the things that can take out any turbo. ALOT of 'em fail for varous reason. New technology or not, what is ...

gt turbos are nice if u got the cash, but honestly I see no magic in the gt25/8s. When looking for a turbo for my ca18 I studied sr20 mods/ dyno/ ETs. Most 2 impressive sr20s ran reglar ol 28 hybrids, made more torque and none of the costly GT turbo'd SRs could match the ET. Seems like too little ga...

based on what I've seen in the states, I wouldn't go near those pistons. TOOOOO many horror stories! They actually call them hyper-regret-its. Even tho they're $17-25usd each, they can keep em. The starquest guys use pistons made Silvolite - they may sound good on paper, and work well in an atmo app...

flow numbers don't tell the whole story... just like peak hp on a dyno doesn't. Smaller ports will restrict at upper rpms but velocity will fill cylinders in the lower rpms, giving u good exhaust energy to spin up turbos and get u moving smartly, with a good powerband. Starquestclub has some ported ...

I have a rb20 turbo also (for use on a toyota 1.6, not on the 2.0) and also been told it has t28 wheels. Performs decent on the rb20, especially if motor is swapped into an s13. Most of 'em are ballbearing, so it goes in the trash can when its done... at least around here. Normally we go for turbo d...

flatside look smart with polished widebody 16x7 wheels. I think you'll need the 'rare' 16x8 front wheels on the back if you wanted the wider look. I did the 5 lug and 88 rear diff, conversion to my flatside. Lowered with no tail. Gonna do a custom front spoiler also. Too bad I couldn't round up all ...

more toruqe is always welcome. One way to find out how the 2.4 bottom end will fare as a sohc turbo motor. there is tons of info on the dsm sites on 2.4 buildups, covering every little detail. Most popular route (done at rebuild time) is to use the 2.4 crank in the 2.0 block to get 2.3L... various c...
If u plan to run a td06 turbine wheel, u will have to get your staz turbine housing machined, for it to be a true 'bolt-on'. Most mitsu td06 turbine wheel/housings have a T3 garret-type mounting flange. Check with those that have run such 06 hot wheel to find out if the staz 080 housing/wg assembly ...
