Basically a map reading 2 psi has the same output at 2000rpm and 5000rpm, wheras an AFM will read more voltage, as the voltage increases with airflow. hmmmmm.... but a MAP wouldn't be able to fuel a motor properly if that were a problem, won't it ? Aren't cells adjustable for specific RPMs ? A SAFC...

quest.. different motors have completely different designs - perhaps the fords and toyotas you speak of have engine designs that inherently do not need the squirters, and perhaps the mitsu motors do.. in this respect, the statement made by Starion Vr4 that mitsu 4g63t motors are better off with squ...

in addition to the 3TC corollas mentioned above, there too many other examples to list..... A whole community of folks bolting turbochargers to their stock normally aspirated 2JZGE powered daily drivers, for years now..... where 3, 4, 500hp is not uncommon Lots of turboford 2.3L sohc 2 valve motors,...

mitsu was interested in 200hp, 100k+ miles and they write warrantys. Squirters overkill maybe ? Seen too many normally aspirated motors do fine with hefty turbo systems bolted on. for example Some daily driven toyota corollas gone low 10s without spray. Done reliably, using their lowly 1.8L 2 valve ...

be careful which route you go. Do your research before u pull the trigger. There are low 10/hi 9sec 4cyl street corollas here shifting their 5 speed toyota gearboxes without nitros. do u need an auto ? Ask how much power it soaks up too. 2 local 1st gen street 300zx (vg30Et SOHC); one sprays a 175 s...

Depends on how you measure performance with TBI + any of the bolt-on mitsu turbo upgrades, u wind up with near instant response, get pushed in the seat or break traction. Decent mileage improvement bonus, as 'fat' oe fuel curves are cleaned up(via SAFC). Quarter mile ETs tell the rest of the story ...
