Mirror head required - Problem Fixed

Managed to find a Mitsubishi Scorpion at the wreckers today and used the mirror head of their set up and bolt it onto the Starion adjusting mechanism.

Should go back and get the R/Hand one and keep it as a spare.

Mirror head required

Would anyone have a L/H door mirror lying around. Have the manual adjusting mechanism so just need the mirror head itself. Somehow we took one off at last weekends Rallysprint, don't even remember hitting anything so a bit perplexed as to what happened. Have a feeling a Scorpion unit could be the sa...

Jeff, Great info. Trawled thru the wreckers last week looking Mitsu stuff and came up with 4.2, 4.6 & 4.8 listing for the transaxles on both Pajero and Triton, but it was hard to tell which size would suit what Starion housing with out removing a heap of diff centers. Was thinking of trying to m...

As far as I know Mitsubishi have always made their I/Cs tube and fin, from Starion to Evo 10.
The later model unit off memory is 60% + bigger in volume over the standard JB unit and is about as big as you can go to mount in the original position.

Gents saw this post and had to comment. Let me just say I work in the industry a have tested many items over the years. A lot of Chinese Intercoolers suffer considerable airflow restrictions. Whilst they may look great and have bling I have found anything up to .3+ bar of boost drop from the inlet s...

Ok, Thanks for the info David and Jeff, I will use my sources and start looking ay the L200 option. If memory serves me well I think the front diff from an early 4wd Triton is a 4.2 ratio and suits the big diff centre, so that may help you out Jeff. Also the clutch packs to suit the big centre are t...

Diff Ratio Options

Hi All, Before I go plowing through websites and all things Mitsubishi related I thought someone here may be able to answer a question and help me out. What other ratio's are available here in Australia to suit the Starion big diff centre. I already have a 4.6 & a 4.2 but would like to know if a...

Suggest you also consider changing the slave cylinder mounting holes to take the Starion slave cylinder. instead of having to use the RX7 unit.

Yeh, that would be Pete West. A legend in motorsport, has built two Bathurst winning engines in his time when he worked for Gibson Motorsport. He came down and serviced for me at the Alpine Rally last year, had a ball. The pics I saw of your car were sent from him. Beer sounds good, will be in touch...

Good to see Jeff. A couple of the boys from Ralliart were up there and they sent a few pics thru to me over the weekend. Glad to see you have the 4.6 diff in, now you just have to get some ratios in the box and believe me it will transform the car again. Maybe we should catch up and you can take the...
