Fuel Pump
I have a JB which has a different throttle body assembly and you can see the two injectors and more importantly can hear them tapping away when engine running. Even tho the JA has the injectors enclosed in the throttle body I would think you should still be able to hear them. It comes down to this. ...

Fuel Pump
If the coils working OK and the plugs are dry after cranking it would seem that no fuel is getting to the cylinders which implies the injectors are not injecting. Can you hear the injectors working when you crank the engine?

Fuel Pump
....Its me again. Boy are you having some trouble. Now getting back to basics, have you established whether the new pump is working and delivering fuel at the correct rate - because thats all it has to do. That black connector which abalistic mentioned can used to test fuel flow rate into a containe...

...you've got me. Just where is this black box exactly. I have a mitsubishi workshop manual with a full exploded view of the fuel tank and all components. Can'nt see a black box!! Anyway I don't think its a problem. The pump is what you have to replace and there's heeps of info on this forum to do t...

Fuel Pump
.....Its been a while since I replaced the F/P in my staz but I seemed to remember I didn't have any hitches. You must undo the two fuel line connectors in front of the tank before you drop it. It is then just a matter of disconnecting the remaining fittings to the fuel pump. Its not really a job fo...

Fuel Pump
I have a replacement Goss fuel pump (GE027) in my JB and it has done 120,000Kls without a hitch. It is also very quiet in operation. Just a word of warning. Make sure you replace/clean the filter in the tank and also the witch's hat filter in the line to the pump. If these become blocked the pump's ...

Low Idle on Warm Car
I agree with Chunkhead from my own experience. Replace all the vac lines. It won't cost you an arm and a leg. I had a high revving problem at idle particularly during cold weather and tried replacing a number of sensors including the air temperature sensor. All this cost me time and money and a lot ...

removing/replacing JB side mirror
Thanks Anthony. I assume you mean the whole internal mirror unit as opposed to the complete side mirror assembly. I wouldn't try to extract just the mirror itself if its attached to something. As i said I don't know what is actually attached to the back of the mirror.

Slow Power Window
I didn't realise my power window would create so much interest. The window seems to operating better after "greasing the pole" and I haven't tried the wiring yet. What is this new development about "cogs rubbing against the door shields". Surely they shouldn't do that and why do ...
