Pretty Good. It took a LONG time to make all of the moulded funnel peices! But ive got them back from being welded up and are just cleaning them up. After that, Its welding the flange on and getting a finshed design cut for the Airbox. And for you StarionVR4, the extra methanol injector and fuel rai...

Not yet its all going sweet tho! I think i will run with the bead blasted finish as its a lot easier to acheive , especially with more welding to be done after that point on the top and bottom. Ive just got to source a vr4 injector and fuel rail setup to sort out the brackets on the manifold, and ma...

just got a prototype trumpet back from the welder. Turned out very well!!! I gave it a quick linish and a die grind plus sand, and they toyed around with different finishing forms. Bead blasting turned out great, and polished also looked good. Any comments on which one looks better?? http://i91.phot...

The only reason for wanting thicker wall is so that it will give a nicer (possibly easier, im not 100% sure as im not the one welding it) weld when fixing it to the thicker (6 or 8mm) manifold flange. I have had a couple of peices welded in this size before, and even tried my hand at it. Mine didnt ...

Ah ha, thats what they called it free machining bar. I can be sure that im not using that in the final production because a piece 150mm long cost me $20 and that was with a discount. The main goal from that machining was to test it to see if it would work on that former. Ill try again and let you kn...

Just hit a few snags today. I machined up a peice of aluminium to simulate avaliable material because I cannot find a 50mm ID pipe with a 2 or 3 mm wall thickness!!! Now i dont know if the properties remain the similar to that of extruded tube, but this is what happened when I machined up a test pei...

They have been welded up so now all i have to do is get hold of some proper pipe that i will use and then send th...
