Yeah see even if, lets say, the previous owner overfilled it...even if the motor was perfect, no valve problems or rings or anything...it should STILL blow smoke coz of the excess oil Im just trying to think back to when i did the first turbo transplant, because we had to rip the dipstick out. They ...

Im no expert but i THINK from memory the dipstick does go into the front of the sump. If the car was parked on a slight slope facing downwards..this would have caused it. For arguments sake...stick ur head under the bonnet 2morro and see if im right...but im pretty sure that it does. Other than that...

Yeah they are water cooling lines.

My first turbo didnt have them but the second one did. I had all mine done professionally by a turbo builder and a mechanic and neither of them seemed concerned about not plugging it up.

It isnt too hard to adapt to watercooling either im lead to believe.

Ah ok thanks for that mate :) i had always wondered. I know that adam (widebody_woody) needs to do it for his car as the new ecu and turbo require more fuel for bigger boost...and it needs MPI to do it and we have chatted about it a lot...but i often wondered if it had other advantages. Adding littl...

No technically its not carby at all. Its called throttle body injection. Does have a few other names as well. And other than looking like a carby, its very very different. However to steer this back on topic...to convert it to MPI, i know that the magna intake manufolds will bolt onto the 2.6...do t...

Electronic Carbie Injection :D:D:D Didn't someone post a pic of a live-axeled non-turbo Starion in NZ? That is the A182A chassis Starion GX. Although its probably stlightly off topic.... its most likely, quite easy to convert all a starions bits to sigma bits hence making it a non-turbo. Not that i...

While there is no JA non-turbo. There is definately a Starion non-turbo. The GX. So the possibility of a JA with carb isn't 100% impossible. Also some folk like to play 'swap the engine' While this is true...its already been made pretty clear that it is that of a turbo 4G63 starion...which is obvio...

The idle is always something that would shit me and my mechanic off. It has a fast idle setting at start up...which as u will notice when its cold, is up around like 1700rpm. Problem is, to get the revs at idle up though, it pushes the revs on startup up way too high! Although ive never had it conk ...

Ahhhh!!! Dont use cheap oil in a turbo car! It depends on your definition of cheap.....but the BIGGEST KILLER of turbo seals in cars is people either using incorrect oil, or letting their oil get VERY dirty. Always spend the extra few dollars to get the better oil. Unfortunately turbo cars do cost a...
