Out of the 11 years I've had the JD, I've probably driven it on a daily basis for 7 or 8 of them. I haven't even started it for the last year or so. :? I need to remedy this. The TJ I'm looking at would make a wonderful daily car. Unfortunately it's a FWD. It's the manual, but I'm comfortable with t...

So, I need a new car.

I need a new daily driver. I'm thinking a Mazda 3 or possibly an RX8 (I saw a late 2003 one with low kms for a bit over $30k the other day). A mate rates his 2007 MX5 too...if I could find a slightly older one for a good price, I might be tempted. Anything bad about these cars? Anything to look out ...

LSD help

So the LSD in my JD is a bit rooted according to the mechanic. I'm not a particularly technical person when it comes to cars (I'm a computer/science person) so I'm after someone in Adelaide to fix it it. I've heard of a place on Port Road that's supposedly good, but does anyone have any recommendati...

Hi. What condition are the front right and left guards with respect to paint and rust? Same with the doors - they look reasonable in the photos (my JD's doors are rusty and my front/left panel is dented). The skirts look good too. I don't really have the time or space to deal with a whole car, altho...

I think you mean that it increases in value by 10% per year. That's how it doubles every 7. I know what you were trying to say. I meant that it increases in value by 10x the $4k it costs me per year (ie. it goes up in value by about $40k per year). fwiw, it's worth around 2.5 times what I paid for ...

"Bricks and mortar" . . safe , but a bit old school and the problem is you need the money to buy the thing in the first place . But if you can afford it and you like safety and are happy with slow returns then I would agree with that . You want figures? $15K in hard cash in 2000 to 'buy' ...

The 380 could have been a saviour. From where I sit, other than the obvious nasty financial situation that was already in the shit before it came out, I see two big things that could've been fixed that have killed Mitsi in Adelaide: -Given the whole worldwide financial downturn, they should've reall...

That is a beautiful car. I know you asked for PMs of offers, but do you have a 'round' figure of what you think it's worth or what you think it could/sell for?

Damn fine vehicle. A clone of mine, right down the to the dicky air dam and same dent in the left fender. Less rust than mine - result!
