Re: LSD's. How tight is too tight!?!
Thanks for your replies. Yes coopler I was talking about turning the centre, so wheel to wheel. Before the previous shim collapsed you could turn it fairly easily. Now with my new shim it's stiff as all hell. The centre can't be turned by hand but will slip on asphalt whilst driving. It does clunk a...

LSD's. How tight is too tight!?!
So, I had an issue with my LSD a while ago. Suddenly it got really clunky on turns so I took it to a local diff specialist. He stripped it down and found a an apparently superfluous? shim that had disintegrated and put it together again without it stating it was good to go. Except it wasn't, it turn...

Re: Brake pads for track
QFM are out of business. If anyone knows of DB1141 performance compound pads available then post them here.
I've sourced a set of Stop Tech sport (part #309.03890) from jegs but are yet to try them (Still on my last set of A1RMs from QFM) https://www.jegs.com/i/StopTech/315/309-03890/10002/-1

wait i'm confused... if the ecu is expecting a high voltage as Zac said, and the coil neg terminal is run by the MSD at a high voltage, as sucka said.. what's the problem with connecting them up that way? Because the MSD is a Capacitive Discharge ignition very high voltage will be present and no te...

Thanks for yuor reply Prozac. It has helped me understand they problem I am facing that much better. I'd say thats probably what the MSD tach adapter is, just a small inductive coil. Yeah in hindsight I should have just replaced the ECU with an aftermarket unit that could run everything. The MSD see...

Re: My jb came home today
While I was waiting for today to happen I thought I should give the Staz a treat seeing that I had wounded her badly at the Gatton sprints a couple of months ago & decided to take all of my bits &pieces out of the shed and painted the floor with paving paint & put everything back in a m...
