Blue Starion in Hobart

We were on our way to watch a club day at Baskerville on Sunday (14th/8/05) when what should pass us by? A light blue starion in pretty good nick (from what we could see as it went by) We had just come off the Tasman Bridge, heading towards Lindesfarne and on to Baskerville. Didn't get a number plat...

Avandull is interested in a front brace. Just comparing the pics of the prototype to the L300 manifold setup in his starion for a rough idea if it would fit (he's been a bit hard to motivate....I've only told him about this thread about a billion times). If he decides it will fit he'll order one thi...

I was a 98% person too. That's freaky. The only explanation I can come up with is that red is a very common primary colour to occur naturally and that a hammer is probably the tool that if you only have 1 tool, that would be it.

I remember when me and my sister were little, dad would get us to tell him what gear to put it in next and when. Of course at that age we had no clue, although I distinctly remember getting the shock of my life when we told him to put it from 4th to 1st at probably 70kph . rofl

The NRMA has criticised a Government plan to ban young P-platers from driving high-powered cars. NSW Roads Minister Michael Costa this morning announced changes for provisional drivers, with a particular focus on younger drivers. P1 and P2 drivers will be banned from driving cars of eight or more cy...

depressant doesn't mean it makes you "depressed" it means it inhibits neural funtioning. The reason it made you bounce off the walls would probably be becasue, like alcohol, it reduces your ability to monitor and control your behaviour....ie it reduced your inhibitions. Its usual effects a...

Did you make the megasquirt computer yourself? We have a friend who is running a megasquirt computer that he built in his Celica. He's using fuel and ignition control.

um, from my vague memories of lectures on drugs....codeine doesn't stimulate anything, it's a depressant like alcohol (hence it's use in pain relief). I think it operates in the central nervous system by blocking neural receptors so that neurochemicals can't pass on their messages (don't ask me whic...

well if we say we should let people with depression self medicate with a shotgun, why bother treating people who've had a heart problem or cancer or eye sight problems, or who get the flu....let natural selection take its course. But that's an argument of opinion and ethics. It has no correct answer...

all right....but you asked for it :P as I said, I agree that the vast majority of people with depression should not be using medications. Their first and foremost treatment should be cognitive/behavioural, not drugs. I personally think doctors are way too quick at prescribing medications (and drug c...
