That time of year

:D It's that time of year again guys. Time to treat the little stazz with a bit of hard-earned respect. My 82 JA baby just got past the 250,000km mark last week, but she's suffering a little bit in the heat. My last tank of fuel was seriously down, economy wise, and I think it's due to the poor litt...

Aircon fan etc.

Hey guys, My interior fans (the ones that blow air around the car) kind of came on and off for a couple of weeks then gave up the ghost completely. Has anyone had this happen before. The aircon itself was still working at the time, but somewhere in the wiring the actual fan circuit must have seized ...

this thread

I dunno much about this thread, except that I can relate to it. I like it very much. Mine has been running on a Haltech E6K with the stock ECI for about 4 months. It's ridiculous. It's so conservatively tuned it's not funny. So yeah, it's fair to say mine runs on dreams of bigger and better things. ...

RPW

I'm glad this is out in the open. I've had issues with them too.

Total cost keeps coming to more than he quotes, I've been pissed off with them many times and they take AGES to fix my car.

Can everybody please relate their experiences with RPW.

Cheers.

engine runin

I ran mine in for 1000km and you can kinda feel when it settles down. Now it runs like a beast. No wuckin forries at all. A bit of boost is okay. There are different schools of thought about the whole thing actually. It's definitely the case that when it's rebuilt everything's new and things might n...

Smokin'

Hey Dave, Could be anything. Did you have anything extra done at all when you redid the engine? Porting/polishing? If it's changed at all, then the fuel/air requirements would have changed too. Is it ECI? Ultimately, we all need an aftermarket computer and a fuel injection system in order for our St...

Starter motor

Yeah Chris, when your car is a finely tuned g-force machine like mine is, every little extra thing is a dead weight. I figured that as long as I can roll easily out of the places I park, I can just clutch start it all the time. Nah, my starter motor's on the way out, that's all. I can hear it giving...

Dave

Dave, It's hard for anyone to quit, especially a newly rebuilt motor. All you can really do is offer your support. Perhaps call the Quitline and ask them what you can do for your motor. But ultimately, if it doesn't want to quit, then no amount of persuasion on your part will help it. It it doesn't ...
