Where to get TDO5
Okay, I decided to drive my Starion to work today and give it a run. I have after a longer drive discovered that my TD05 is hoplessly overwhelmed by all the modifications I have done. It has a sweet spot of about 1500 rpm then it all gets too much for it. So Im looking for a larger TD05 ( 20g ?) Can...

What Kind of car is that ?
I left my car outside my church today and when I came out a local school had been using our huge hall for exams. Kids were swarming all over my car and I was on the phone as I went to the car door. It was funny listening to all the comments from these teenagers. " I think its and Rx7" said...

Hydraulic lifter conversion
I really like my Starion, like the engine, love the power it now puts out etc. But I HATE HATE HATE the amount of tappet noise that these engine put out. Years ago I had a Magna with hydraulic tappets. I remember changing the tappets in it and they were just s kind of insert. Could the rocker arms b...

Ok
Thanks guys all for that info. Very useful. I will in fact wind it back to around 18 psi and see how that goes. Charlie call Windsor Truck Bits in Mileham st and see if your clamps are in. I keep forgetting to call them. They must be in by now. As for the question about which turbo to use. I am afra...

No worries
I dont understand why the TC05 would cause detonation. Not an issue with my car as it is intercooled and has water/methanol injection. As for the molten wheel at 25psi why is this any different to say a Tc06. Not saying I dont believe you just asking why the heck would it melt ?

Not grumpy
Dont crawl back into anything. I was kidding. As I said how were you to know what I have done to my engine....I was just trying to be sarcastic. Yes Charlie I am getting old I like the instant rush but not the speed. I disagree with you about the lag on a modified engine. The modified engine will ha...

Funny
Thats funny, not that you would know but I guess if I do mildly modify my engine by removing the 8.5 compression forged pistons, putting the shafts back in, take off the 3 inch exhaust remove the MPI and microtech, take out the stage three cam and vernier wheel, remove the valve springs and put the ...
