yeah everything was at tdc when i took the belt off. so i just make make sure all the marks are where they were and it will be sweet.

how exactl do i check the align ment of the balance shaft. there is an arrow on the balance shaft sproket that lines up at tdc. is this what you mean?

Ok next problem. when i took the front of the motor apart to replace the water pump i turned the motor to TDC then took the front pullleys and timing cover off, then i marked with a paint pen on each cam sprocket i also noted the timing marks where horizontal on both sprokets. then i makred the cran...

yer im just going to use the current dohc pump and weld in 90 degree pipe directing it to the radiator pipe. i guess i have the 7 bolt engine, havent checked yet as the clutch is still on. not really a big deal.

thanks but the staz pump is what i have, the l200 and starion have the same part number water pump.

the pump off the 1.6 looks like it will fit. ill check one out at the parts shop tomorrow.

I went back to the parts shop and checked out every mitsubishi water pump that looked like it was close, only to find none were what i was after. well i started my conversion today. step one change the water pumps. but i have a problem the water pump off my l200 sohc doesnt fit the dohc. i went to cheapa auto and had a look at a starion pump, and it was the same as my l200 pump. they had a few parts listed but only had one instock. in the pic...

just bought a twincam from a n23w rvr. having trouble finding a wiring diagram on the interwebz. does anyone know where to get diagrams?
