4G63 Galant ones are meant to fit (haven't tried it, still keeping an eye out for an L300 manifold) but the throttle body has to swap ends because it will be facing the firewall. there are a couple of different versions of it, from memory the one with the longer inlet runners is the one to have but ...

there were 6 more pictured in there too, on page 152, in the letter page. it was in relation to a letter about the cordia power car club so i'm guessing they clowned it by putting the pic in, good to see though.

cheers

and as a side note import x (NZ import car show) is thinking about this engine in an EX lancer as its next project. might be worth watching for some ideas. might be worth jumping onto the import x forums and voting for it too to make sure that they build it. here's the site but you'll need to regist...

if the L200 used 4g63 engine mounts then it should be sweet. a mate of mine bolted a vr4 4g63 straight onto stock L200 mounts in a 1984 ute. the L200 gearbox bolted straight up too. i'm not sure whether different L200's had different mounts though, hope this helps. sounds like a mean conversion, how...

i actually bought this setup off a pajero, got pissed off with the wiring though so jagged it in for now. the actual inlet manifold is exactly the same so i don't think it could make any serious difference anyway just from the actual ECI bit. its all good having a spare inlet manifold though, gave m...

hey, front: if you want to swap the complete struts including brakes, strut, strut insert and spring then you'll need to use your lancer top hat. this will also add about 5 degrees negative camber to each side. you'll probably find your car currently has positive camber but 5 degrees might take it a...

the wheels on the blue lancer are chrome modulars (commonly known as modgies over here in NZ). mangel made them originally but now they're made by cragar. they are fairly common over here, mainly on older stuff like ke20 corolla's and early mazda rotaries. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Ca...

saw that, will be interesting to see what it goes for. strange how after spending time on this forum to find out stuff about the engine in my lancer i'm slowly getting more and more tempted to actually buy a starion. maybe one day.

i actually quite like those wheels, although the colour does nothing for them. i'd remove the centre's, get them sandblasted then powdercoated silver or gold or something like that. old school cars can look quite cool on small wheels and those have got a bit of dish which always helps. i'll try and ...

later model injection setup, bit of info please

http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/5624/starionmotor12pg.jpg i've got the option to buy one of these inlet setups pretty cheap off a pajero. i'm currently running the usual ECI setup off the early starions and EX lancer turbo's. questions: i. i've heard that its better for flow and the injectors fl...

rallystarion, i've got a couple of mates over here in NZ that rally an EX2000 (replica) lancer who are in the middle of building a custom box for rallying. the turbo lancer boxes are the same as the starion boxes except shifter position so what he's doing should work fine for you too. they're runnin...

you guys reckon there would be room under the bonnet to chuck a 90 degree bend on that air inlet to face forward??? would be a nice way to get around my rotating the ECI for front mount issues. a lot of people seem to think its going to lean out a couple of my cylinders doing it that way.

cheers
