i was hoping it might be some multipoint factory setup i had never heard of, would have been damn cheap if so but not really worth it (for me, i've already got twin point) otherwise. its on trademe (New Zealand) if anybody's interested, starting price of $600 with manual and auto g'boxes
cheers
Matt

8 Valve SOHC 4G63BT i'm pretty sure, its for sale as a complete engine and apparently its from a starion but where's the ECI unit??? the only one's i've seen similar are the FWD versions in sigma's. is he missing bits, has he got it wrong, or is it something different to your normal starion motor? a...

this is a bit late now but i don't really come on here too often unless i've got problems with the car. hopefully it will come in handy to someone else though. fairly complete guide on how to rebuild ECI unit and what 'O' rings you'll need: http://prozac.orcon.net.nz/eciguide/rebuild.html i did not ...

i'm running a Walbro 255 litre per hour internal pump externally in my EX lancer with an 8 valve 4G63BT. haven't had any problems with it, it hasn't done any long trips but has been fine for round town driving so far. when i first installed it i was a bit worried about it overheating so i kept a pre...

i've been running my car on 91, retarded the timing to suit. after a talk with a rally guy i know (runs an EX2000 type lancer with link, antilag, 250 rwhp) i'm pretty much convinced that its worth the extra $ for 98. i think i'll change over as soon as i've emptied this tank, could be a while though...

i thought the US starions ran different engines? like the 2.6's??? the english guys have had some success with rotating the ECI unit, although some of the were cutting and welding the inlet pipe to move it and this didn't do so well, issues with fuel distribution i think. i've only heard good things...

turning the ECI unit
don't know you guys do this much, i'm wanting to give it a try because it will make for much shorter intercooler piping when i get around to it. basically (from what i can find out) you make up a spacer plate and turn the whole ECI unit through 90ish degrees so the inlet is facing the front of the c...

isnowi: thats pretty much what i'm doing at the moment. i've had to slot the bolt holes on the starion master cylinder and i've mounted the stock lancer brake booster on the firewall upside down (the pipe inlet for the vacuum line gets in the way of the brake fluid reservoir otherwise) which fits af...

brake master cylinder issues (EX lancer)
i bought a starion brake master cylinder yesterday for my EX lancer. went to install it today and it won't fit. the size difference is quite a bit and my clutch master cylinder only has 1-2 cm between it and the old brake master so it doesn't look good. i don't know too much about brake master cylin...

kelford do a cam for the sohc 4G63's, its not listed on their website though. any decent workshop should be able to make you up some custom extractors, i know a good place in Auckland (by reputation only, i can't afford a nice shiny manifold yet) that does them for about $500 or so. and there is a t...
