How often should you lubricate the torque tube-diff front gear assy and what type of grease would you use?

Gearstick boot
Does anyone have the rubber boot for the gearstick? Not the one on the floor but the one for the console. Failing that a part number or a suitable alternative.

They have different symptoms. Injector internal leak, car runs like shit and blows oodles of black smoke. Leaky o-ring leaks fuel everywhere. Car goes soooo much better after having water, oil and fuel leaks mostly fixed, but it now sometimes blows black smoke at idle until it warms up. The boost g...

Leaky Injectors
Recently I had my leaky injectors 'fixed'. The mechanic did have some trouble with the rubber rings. Is there a kit of O rings that is available? If so any part number available? Or at least an ebay seller name or any other source. Are the leaky injectors actually fixable? Or is the only solution a ...

HID Globes
Anyone had any experience with these globes?
Have you used them as headlights and if so what wattage?
Used them in the bumper bar as an alternative, perhaps?
Any problems fitting them and did you polish or clean the headlight assy?

Thanks guys, fuck it. It seems to work ok even with one wire not connected. Weird? So I just put it back in. I can't wait to drive it this weekend, it's been too long. Wire could be for electric antenna.....none on JA, or illumination which I presume would be lights on radio. (Would have tought tha...

Re: Speaker wiring help
Can somebody please tell me what the colour of the speaker wires for the front speakers on a JA is. I'm struggling with the stupid diagram. It says a black wire is common to all speakers and that is simply not the case. I have never been able to read a wiring diagram. HELP !!! Addition: Just realis...

Fusible Link
Have seen a JA with a nicely done insulated 20A spade fuse assy as the fusible link. Don't think it was factory standard.thrash wrote:is there anything wrong with replacing them with standard fuses anyway?

Fusible Link
Hi Guys,
Started engine, put on headlights, all electrics stopped working. Traced to fusible link running off the +ve battery terminal.
Require the fusible link or suitable substitute. Diagrams only mention link but with no details. Any ideas?

Had yet another go at this problem. Assumed nothing that I had learned at previous sessions was true. As a post mortem I realised this: using the sliding fuse tester told me much more than I thought originally. Combined with the prints it was screaming that the intesity pot assy was broken. It was. ...
