Ahhh already having set backs First issue - turbo fell off my bench and damaged the bearing housing (circlip wasn't on compressor housing) :glare: My own stupidity, a few seconds inattention and now a few days kicking myself. Fortunately the wheels etc look fine. So now it needs rebuilt . . . . Took...

No need to be sorry thrash! Good to see some enthusiasm about this sort of stuff on the forum (and a bit more conversation full stop) T-man it wouldn't be the best Starion forum if we recommended you sell it and buy another car LOL That being said there's no denying there's a selection of more moder...

wow that got wordy :P Although I don't fundamentally agree with everything that's been posted the key points are there. Work out what you want, start with the easy stuff and there are other sohc examples on here which provide a bit of a recipe - Do your research. Ok say if I was to use the DOHC pist...

I've been a bit of a keyboard warrior on this subject recently as I'm starting to mod mine (Beginning with a TD05 turb). Lots of info on here but its fairly scattered. Stock ECU/Fueling/Ignition control is a fairly limiting factor. But if you have bottomless pockets you can pay someone to setup MPI ...

I haven't done MPI yet myself but from my research on here there are people suggesting the L300 manifold is more restrictive than other front facing manifolds - the downside is the modification needed for the FWD manifolds (swapping the throttlebody to the other end and sorting water pipes)

Just had a read through your build. Your car looks properly tidy and with what your bolting onto it should definitely have the go to match!

The front looks good, looks like the ideal setup for a cold air intake.

Yea your right RiceThief it would be ideal timing to do the cooler and piping (and replace the BOV). Its also another expense I need the boss to sign off on :p I don't think it is too much of a deal to spin the compressor housing again later though - and it almost looks like with the compressor hous...

I'll eventually go multipoint and make use of the intake manifold I have with some form of aftermarket ecu (Link seems the go here in chch). I'm still doing my homework and lack knowledge around engine management\ignition setup. This may be an area where I make the bits fit together and pay someone ...

Well I've owned my good Starion now since 2007 and it's been great. All its really had done to it is general servicing, fuel and been driven. There has been the odd minor hiccup but nothing really worth mentioning. So I feel its time to start tinkering - This was always the plan after all . . . I'm ...

Could be keen for this - im guessing mine being non intercooled I would really need to change the compressor housing to get much benefit?

From memory the later tc06's looked a fair bit more open where the inlet pipe connects?
