Interested in this as my tacho does not work either. What type of input does the stock tacho wire need to operate the tacho?

For seperate coils you need both a cylinder reference and a cyl 1 tdc reference, something the dash dizzy sadly does not have. Try the Sonata one, that is what I am using for my LTX8 and it has both references.
