perhaps my memory is failing me, and I can't start my car and check this, but I think the Australian ones do not do this.. Which side lights are you referring to? Is it the little ones between the fog lamps and indicators? I remember being able to turn these one without popping the headlights up.. b...

a little progress. the pieces of the bar are now joined together, with the middle opening lowered. Still needs to be sanded and smoothed more, and also the top edges of the mouth need to be fibreglassed, but not too bad for now. I'm not entirely happy with the way it sits, as the top edge of the bar...

did you mean 90210 for the zip code? ;)

the barometric pressure in and around sydney is between about 14.7 to 14.8, so you could use that for an ever-so-slightly better accuracy.

so the first section i did was a complete disaster. I mucked up the hardener/catalyst measurement, and so after a week it still hasn't dried. Will have to scrub it off and start again. I assume acetone will make it all come off easily? second attempt last night was a bit more fruitful. Fully dry thi...

There are two that I know of. I don't know if they have them running, but I know that there are two that have been projects for a while. One is a 1UZ in wollongong being done by 4G6beat: http://forums.austarion.com/viewtopic.php?t=12704&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Hasn't been update...

If you have the ability to buy another toy, then you have the ability to go twin cam, no?

wow that got wordy :P Sorry  I would actually not bother with a wideband o2 sensor. Sure, it will tell you what the mixtures are, but what's the point if you are sticking with the standard ecu? You cannot adjust them, so you might as well tune by knock and spend the wideband sensor money else...

question is, what are your goals? do you want a little bit more power and a lot of reliability? do you want a lot more power and a lot of reliability? do you want more power and are ok with not so good reliability because it's only a weekend car? Talk to tomsun or John196701 on this forum. They both...

going mpi is a matter of reliability and drivability, not necessarily power. changing out the ecu without doing mpi will just allow you to control larger injectors - one factor to your peak power ceiling, but may not necessarily give you any additional reliability. If you swap out the ecu and go mpi...

Also got a roller on the way :)

4gpwr.. is hardener the same thing as 'catalyst' or MEKP?

yeah MDF is good because it's cheap and easily replaced as a sacrificial unit :) Next question is, how far forward of the bar should the lip/splitter come out? I was thinking no more than an inch or max two, since the car still has to be streetable without attracting too much attention.. Mal, I've n...
