If you're talking about the large oval-shaped rubber grommets for the wiring loom, you can get something about the right size from Clark Rubber. You will need to do a little bit of slicing, but it should fit fine.

The Z142A is the filter listed for a Starion. The Z411 is the filter listed for an L300/Starwagon.

Re: starion odds & ends

Hi Rad, I'm interested in taking a couple of the electronic dizzies - presumably these are the optical ones, ex-L300? If so, PM me your bank details and let me know the postage to WA (postcode 6027) and I'll throw some money at you. cheers, John I have been tidying up the man cave and the following ...

8 degrees BTDC is ok. The 'solenoid' you referred to is not the idle solenoid - JAs don't have one. That thing is an air bleed, used when the aircon is on. The idle adjustment needs to be done by the adjusting screw on the throttle lever (which the accelerator cable attaches to) and the cold start m...

Bugger - looks like I'm out. My mother-in-law arrives to stay with us soon, so I've been 'convinced' to do all those things around the house that I've managed to put off :(

Cheers guys will do what JPC said I think - did you take the lines off to flare them or can you do the work while the lines are in place and car upon axle stands? Cheers David I did it in situ, without removing the lines. A bit fiddly, but doable. Use a midget tube cutter to cut the steel line clea...

OK stripped the smaller of the two nuts even with a good flare nut spanner so I guess now it's vice grip time. I've got the tank out by unscrewing the pump mount so now the pump is still attached to the car. To replace the rounded nut (on the hard line side) do I need to replace the whole fuel line...

Sounds like your injectors could be leaking. Next time you try a warm start, disconnect the injector wiring connector (as per Alspos post above). If it starts after a brief splutter, runs for a few seconds and then stops, your injectors are leaky.

vr4gone,

If you want to run a JB setup in a JA, it's not a problem and I can help you with the wiring. I'm currently running JA injectors in my JB and they work fine.

cheers,
