You're welcome. The water pump pulley pcd's are the same between fwd and rwd. The only difference apart from v-belt v's multi-rib and offset is that the centre bore is slightly different and that some fwd pulleys have a locating dowel pin.

Thanks for the compliment. Both the crank and water pump pulleys are standard fwd dohc 6-bolt items. To align the rwd water pump pulley I pulled the mounting flange off the pump, reversed it and pressed it back on to the correct level using the original fwd water pump as a guide. The flange needs to...

If the head has the mounting holes for the cam angle sensor at the front you can swap between rear and front. So check that the head has the mounting holes. you can just see the sensor in the first photo through the inlet cam gear. The engine below has a fwd dohc 6-bolt block with a rvr turbo head f...

Use the front cover and oil pump off a 6-bolt dohc 4g63. You shouldn't have to modify anything other that the rwd water pump to make it work.

Below is a photo of a rvr front cam angle sensor. These came on the 95/96 turbo models and are 7bolt engines. The crank angle sensor is separate. There are adjustable cam gears that work with this cam angle sensor such as the AEM Tru-Time 23-830bk see http://www.aemelectronics.com/tru-time-cam-gear-...

If you read the thread you will find that he tried to use a 7bolt oil pump housing with the crank angle sensor on a 6bolt block and ran into issues, so replaced the 7bolt oil pump housing with a 6bolt housing and replaced the factory crank angle sensor with a Kiggly Racing Crank trigger. The cam ang...

The oil feed is on the rear head bolt hole on the exhaust side of an evo 1, 2, 3 head. If I remember correctly the gallery is about 20mm up, but don't quote me on it. If you have a look you should be able to see the opening for the gallery.

With a VR4 head the head bolt hole size does not change to allow the larger bolts/studs needed for a 6-bolt block and hence you wont have oil clearance issues.

The holes in a dohc block I have in the shed are 6mm. Also, note the oil inlet is on the exhaust side.

Using the larger head bolts with an evo head can restrict oil flow into the head due to the reduction in the clearance between the rear exhaust side head bolt. The oil flows around the head bolt into an oil gallery part way up the hole. If the correct clearance is not maintained you run the risk of ...

With the evo head did you enlarge the clearance for the oil feed to the head given the increase in head bolt size? If you didn't do this the head will have to come off and you can correct the coolant flow direction at the same time. With the Starion head the coolant path is such that the dominate fl...

As redzone pointed out it is factory from a 95-96 RVR turbo head. The same cam gear was also in some DSM heads in the US around the same time.
