From the syptoms you describe, i doubt it's fuel related. "refuses to idle but will idle roughly when giving it some herbs..." Sounds like Vacuum or electrical to me. Certainly a strange one - hope you get it sorted out. Could be ECU failure, too! But definitely check the hoses on the fire...

...then there's that elusive FL under the airbox - I had a similar symptom once - had to get towed off the harbour bridge - Pssst - don't tell anyone :P... poor connection on the spade lug. Grrr. Was one very long and expensive trip out for gelato.

It looks like a conversion, using the Gorilla 1:24 scale plastic shell, with the machine guns chopped off... Painted red. I painted mine jet black, looks great. Silver machine guns and all!
