Re: Can anyone identify this sigma

it's got the dredded oil leak my old starion had, oil all over the rear of the engine If that's the case , don't jump to conclusions. I've had a TN magna for 11 years and oddly , it's been the most reliable car I've ever owned (probably cause it's a 5 speed , those auto's were plain crap). Mine als...

It's probably a hole in the dashpot diaphraghm on the throttlebody. If you remove the opposing end of the hose going to it , try sucking on it , (this is not a joke BTW) , if the vaccuum stays , it's OK , if it leaks , it's fucked. These cannot be repaired. There is also an adjustment screw on it , ...

Yes , I have taken measurements on the air filter element itself and while the car is moving (even as little as 15km/h) , the temperature in the airbox is on average 2 degrees above ambient temperature. These measurements were taken with 2 thermocouples , one on the air element and one outside the c...

Heatsoak does not seem to be a problem by cutting the upper portion , either.

How to remove the rear tailgate garnish

Use a fckn big hammer (FBH for those with a REAL starion toolkit) , lots of beer , and a mostly empty wheelie bin that can hold about 20kgs of broken glass. Seriously though , I just spent 3 hours removing one off my spare tailgate , swearing and cursing that black goo from hell and now that it's do...

Random intermittent wiper operation is common to all mitsubishi's when there is a substantial voltage drop or increase and is by design the intermittent wiper relay / controller assembly that does it. Try putting a deadish battery in your starion and turn the ignition on. The wipers are almost guara...

It's funny how everybody always goes for a difficult solution to a potentially easy problem. Check your ignition by pulling off one lead at a time while it's idling. If you don't notice a change , pick on that plug / lead. This is more common than u might think. Once you've done the easy checks , th...

It's probably the same Hitatchi that makes the earthmoving equipment - that explains why they're pretty tough diffs.

Don't knock the TC-05 , it can be a great turbo used in the right application. Like Derek said , boost down low , but runs out of puff at or around 5000 , makes for a good torquey drive without having to rev the shit out of it. I've got my stock g63 with stock ECU , cut airbox , TC-05 11a at 9psi ru...

Technically you could , you need to swap the rotating drum , but you risk destroying the speedo. Remove the 240 unit , take a pic and post it , I'll check it out and see if it'll work if you like.
