ouch that's quite rusty! I wonder how it got like that. My jap imported Eterna which lived in a sea-side town the entire time it was in NZ is no where as bad as that.

Could it be it was from a town in japan that was really snowy and thus they put salt on the road?

There in :D Got the front end back on now too. just need to finish off the rust repair in the rear and i am ready for rego :twisted:

nope :( My boat is getting priority now, as i need it for when i go on holidays. The old girl got a new steering wheel, a marine stereo and a bare metal brightside paintjob :D I will have rego early next year though :wink:

I have found that the front now requires spacers, as the lock nut of the coilover touches the tyre. So i am going to run a 15mm spacer and go as low as the rear :twisted:

Love those coilovers.. looks like a nice option.


If you need a heads up on where to look for rust on a widey let me know as i've just finished fixing all the rust on mine. (had to replace a whole rear fender )

looks a good height in the rear
