Wheel colour, what goes and what doesn't...

Post by Blair »

Hi all

I know getting wheels to fit the Starion can be a pain... i mean 'challenge' but im not sure what i want to start searching for anyway...

I've a link here which shows my car sporting various alloy wheel combo's, the first pic is how the car looks now, the rest have been done on a UK alloy wheel website. I suspect many of the designs wouldn't fit but whats the thoughts on colours in general?

I think im leaning towards white or gold...
I know enough to know that I don't know enough...

The red ones!!!
And a red stripe with the turbologo...

Not gold with a white car.

My vote goes to red with the dish.

The white multispoke, the radial look. They stand out because they're big.

Starions look best with dish, my opinion.. Which works well because of the very low offset they use.

There are shitloads of new wheels coming out now in 4x114.3 with close to zero offset, I might start a thread listing them all.. Otomoto are just about to release a 16x9 zero offset meshie that looks quite tasty..

Update - Poor mans upgrade

Post by Blair »

So due to some additional bills in my life, new Alloy's are on hold for now, but still thinking he car needs a little something else i opted for this.....

what you guys think?

Its only the first coat and it will need several more (and a bit neater) if i decide to stick with it.

I like it though... looks proper 80's now (in my opinion)!
