Brake pads for track

Post by WidebodyWoody »

Hey guys

I know there are a few options for brake pads. But what do people use for the track? Part numbers would be awesome if possible too.

I did a search and found stuff about hilux pads, but it sounded like the standard pads and the hilux pads were the same?

Also found these. Would these do?

The db1141 pads which are compatible with the starion has more options for compounds than the starion one.

I've heard good things about porterfield pads and found these

Nope, rear are different, you can get rx7 rear pads which are similar and again have more compound choice.

There are a few different ones, the best I could see that looks the same is DB372. Is this the right one? Cheers

QFM A1RM are zero to 780 degree temp pads, they work well on the street & are suitable for track days too.

They make them to suit starions.
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

I have QFM A1RM front and rear. Only used them on the street and they feel good so far. Once the car is sorted I'll let you know how they go on the track.

I got mine (many moons ago) just from the local brake place. They ordered them in from QFM I assume.

Ring 'em and ask who distributes http://qfm.com.au/page/1/Home

QFM are out of business. If anyone knows of DB1141 performance compound pads available then post them here.

I've sourced a set of Stop Tech sport (part #309.03890) from jegs but are yet to try them (Still on my last set of A1RMs from QFM) https://www.jegs.com/i/StopTech/315/309-03890/10002/-1
